Congratulations, internet. America now has special operations forces searching for Kony, a man no one has seen since 2006.
You really did it, internet.
Now go pat yourselves on the back.
Yay military intervention!!!
You’re kidding, right? Please tell me you’re kidding…
I hope this is a joke. I swear. This better be a joke.
dear american people, i (humble nobody really) suggest you keep a close eye on your alternate energy and mobile technology sectors and their owner’s and financing. The search for Kony is taking place in Central Africa (covering several nations), an area rich in the very deposits required to make solar panels and tablet screens. Perfect really, if you’ve just spent a decade fighting a series of wars that were really about oil, and didn’t get the oil. Getting the minerals needed for the tech would be cheaper to get from Africa, especially if you manage to destabilize the area, blow some shit up, and then have the World Bank or the IMF organize you some nice resource concessions when the various countries go begging for money to rebuild and to feed. Neo-colonialism 101. And this while bills are being passed that give unprescedented access to your personal intellectual property. you are being encouraged to digitize this property because of sheer availability and then forced to have it available to the government’s use. if you want some real answers, follow the money trail before President Obama vetos CIPLA and you get called a Cyber Terrorist for wanting to know the truth.
