There are NO new ideas - I believe that this mentality stunts our creative growth and confidence in our own originality. Simply put, quantum mechanics teaches us that the universe is essentially unpredictable, and with electron collisions occurring billions of times a second in every single atom of matter in the universe, we have to understand that though it may seem completely structured and unchanging, the universe is actually in a constant state of flux. Therefore, the exact circumstances in which two seemingly identical ideas are created can NEVER be exactly the same, completely altering the context in which each idea is conceived. Add to that the fact that no two people can truly claim exact matching understandings of ANY given topic once they are asked to express it in their own words, and we begin to see that: There are ONLY new ideas
