Thoughts of a New World
Choice and Change
but you must admit that you can be executing action whilst having hope that it will have an affect.

no, i certainly must not… all actions have an effect, so hoping for an effect is self-defeating. if you are taking action, you are enacting a plan to achieve a desired result. if you have planned properly, your action will predominantly have the desired effect, while other effects will be unexpected but not necessarily undesired. undesired results are far less likely then if you are taking action. and hope then, is a hindrance to achieving desired results.

what you might mistakenly be referring to as hope, is confidence… and since confidence is borne of near certainty of desired results being achieved, and that would be based on adequate preparation, i will state the original statement again:

“do not confuse Hope, with the desire for a Plan to Achieve your Dreams.”
