Thoughts of a New World
Choice and Change

is it possible that anarchism, as a form of self-governance, could be a legitimate form of government?

anarchism : the belief that you have to be responsible for you

once you are responsible for you, you must educate yourself

once you have educated yourself, you will find that you are doing what you enjoy doing.

once everyone is doing what makes them happy, we will be able to assess what is needed to fill the gaps left by those no longer able to justify cleaning toilets or washing dishes or picking fruit. it WILL be assessed promptly and efficiently, because it needs to be assessed and sorted out in order for everyone to do what makes them happy, and there is no government to place red-tape over everything and tie everything (including funds) up in knots for months and years.

hedonism isn’t a long term option either, because your education has taught you that you need sustainability, and hedonsim is diametrically opposed to anything sustainable

responsible resource consumption is a direct result of anarchism. complete cost awareness comes with having to see for yourself when you have an educated background

but, who will fix the roads? anarchism will ensure that those with a vested interest in use, will maintain the infrastructure.

who will stop the criminals? you will! you are responsible for you!

what about the disabled and disadvantaged?! you obviously seem to care. and most people do, so i reckon those who care will look after them, just like they try to do now.

but who will make the trade agreements on behalf of our nation? you’re not listening are you? i said anarchism… what nation? there is no state. this is free territory occupied by a large group of individuals, claiming responsibility for the land they occupy. since they are a group of responsible individuals, they will understand that they need to deal with all their various transactions individually, so as not to rape or pillage any of the finely balanced ecosystems that support us.

but who will protect us from our enemies? what enemies? you mean the enemies of your nation? you’re kidding right? what nation?! it’s anarchism, there is no nation for your enemies to attack.

okay, fine, then who is going to regulate it all? maybe we need to start again. Anarchism : the belief that you have to be responsible for you.

so then what’s to stop someone from sending a nuclear missile into the heart of my country, just because they feel like it? nothing, since you and your systems of government have made them the ultimate threat. as a matter of fact, if you honestly think you’re safe now, then you are completely blind to what the world has become, and this conversation may as well never have happened.
