War & Peace : A Modern Historic Conflict

There is now, and has been for the recorded history of the human race, a conflict that exists that is fundamental to our understanding of the world.

This conflict is between War & Peace. Two words, so firmly entrenched in human existence, that they have almost come to define us. I say almost, because we are clearly greater than the sum of our parts. If we are capable of War, and equally capable of Peace, then within each of us exist a Conflict. This Conflict is neither war nor peace and therefore make us “more”.

In Order To Understand The Conflict, We Must First Understand Both Sides.

WAR

 Definition of WAR

1 a state of usually open and declared armed hostile conflict between states or nations  :(2)state of war:(3) the art or science of warfare
2:a against disease>:boddsvariance:c

Here we see that War can refer to both physical combat, and the more intangible human state of being (be it individually or en masse). It is this second definition that I am more interested in, as physical combat can only arise from the human states of hostility, conflict or antagonism.

For an even better understanding of the nature of War, I would then like to examine the traits of war within nature itself. Both Fauna and Flora exhibit clear signs of hostility, conflict and even antagonism. However, almost all cases in nature are the result of natural survival instinct, because self-defense mechanisms abound in systems of natural cyclic consumption, resulting in a balanced system of war and peace.

When we now look at human War we find a very distinct imbalance. An imbalance so gross, it has spilled over to the destruction of natural balance.

PEACE

When viewing peace from the personal perspective, we must ask the questions:

  • Am I living a tranquil and quiet life? (if you are reading this that is unlikely)
  • Am I free from Civil disturbance? (if this was the only requirement, peace would not exist)
  • Do I exist in a state of security and order within a community provided for by law or custom? (If you answer yes to this, then you have not looked around you in a very long time, and should do so as soon as possible, like right now.)
  • Do I live free of disquieting or oppressive thoughts or emotions? (This is almost certainly a NO for almost every individual alive today, and while the freedom be sad should exist, external reasons to do so should not)
  • Do I experience harmony in all my personal relations? (Though harmony may exist in SOME of our personal relations, most would have to agree that the MAJORITY of their personal relations are NOT harmonious)

In nature, Peace exists in the form of symbiotic relationships, dynamically balanced (again cyclically) to ensure the perpetuation of peace. But with Human Beings, Peace exists only in the presence of willful ignorance and fear-based tyranny.

The Conflict

When understanding that Peace among people does not exist except as an ideological construct in our current world, and that War is the prevailing global human state of being, we must admit that this is not our preference.

Who then perpetuates this war? and how do they perpetuate it? This has been covered in much detail by many a conspiracy theorist, and the facts have been so deeply mired in fictitious systems, that proof has become, like peace, an ideological construct.

However, the absence of evidence does not negate the evidence of consequences. Our entire global society is overrun with the results of War. Famine, Poverty, Disease, Corruption, Genocide… the list is endless and extends to our most personal inner sanctum, our daily lives.

HOW TO CHANGE

What is required for a shift, is at once more simple, and more complex than any single undertaking by the human race.

Simply put: We Must Shift Our Paradigm To One Of Dynamically Balanced Cyclic Peace.

The more complex version means a complete change in every aspect of our lives. A total re-think of our society. Fortunately, there are those who have been interested in this for long enough to have begun the essential process of discussion. And with the modern platform provided by the internet, we are beginning to experience the possibility of global consciousness shifts.

In my opinion, the key to an effective paradigm shift, is a clearly documented and ratified system promoting peace (Such as the propositions of a Resource Based Economy) offering the entire planet a clear alternative to the current set of War-based systems.
